Japan visit by CEO Martin Wittig, responses to East Japan Earthquake reconstruction assistance

CEO Dr. Martin Wittig visited Japan on April 11, 2011 and used that occasion to express his profound sympathy and support for those who have suffered damage and losses as a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster.

In reflection of Dr. Wittig’s sentiment, the decision has been made for the Tokyo office and the global offices to join forces in advancing pro bono activities geared to promote rebuilding efforts in the wake of this tremendous tragedy (consisting of reconstruction assistance funded by Roland Berger investment).

In addition to support for the recovery and restoration measures advanced by individual companies, Roland Berger will also be mounting vigorous and sustained approaches toward key government ministries and agencies, Non Profit Organizations, Non Governmental Organizations and others involved in the relief effort. In collaboration with Helping Hands International e.V of Germany, Roland Berger has already commenced the supply of relief commodities to the stricken areas and other rebuilding help. Working from this start, plans call for the mobilization of long-term efforts to provide pivotal support to Roland Berger partners most closely involved in channeling relief to the areas heavily impacted by this monumental disaster.
