Charles-Edouard Bouée

Charles-Edouard Bouée (born in France in 1969) is a member of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants' Global Executive Committee (EC), elected by the Partners in July 2010. He is responsible for Asia, France, Belgium and Morocco. He is President of Asia and Managing Partner of Greater China.

Charles-Edouard Bouée joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2001 as Senior Partner in the Paris office, where he headed the Financial Services and Energy & Utility Competence Centers as well as the firm's Private Equity activities. He became President & Managing Partner of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants for Greater China in 2006 and President of Asia in 2009.

In this role he spearheads major assignments for a wide range of international, mostly Europe-based companies and organizations as well as Chinese companies, to help them successfully meet their strategic and operational challenges and goals in Europe and China.

Prior to joining Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, he was Vice President of another leading strategy consulting firm from 1997 to 2001. He started his career as an investment banker at Société Générale (M&A and corporate finance) in Paris and London. He is an expert in strategy, M&A and large-scale performance improvement programs. His industry focus is financial services including Private Equity, the energy sector and utilities.

Charles-Edouard Bouée has an MBA from Harvard Business School in addition to a Master of Science from Ecole Centrale de Paris (ECP). He also has a Master's degree in Law from Paris University (Université Paris X-Nanterre).

Charles-Edouard Bouée is involved in various business and community groups in Europe and China. He is a member of think tanks in Europe and sits on the Shanghai board of the European Chamber of Commerce in China. Currently, he is an advisor to the French Foreign Trade Ministry in Greater China. He is regularly asked to join discussion panels or give speeches to share his perspective on global business trends and potential challenges at events such as the annual World Economic Forum and Boao Forum for Asia. In addition, he is a frequent guest of international and Chinese media.

Charles-Edouard Bouée is married, has 2 children and is based in Shanghai and Paris.
