Martin Tonko

Principal

Graduate of Germany’s University of Karlsruhe in Computer Sciences. Goes on to earn a PhD at that same university, then participates in a research project in Japan. Subsequently works for Deutsche Bank AG (Frankfurt) and then Droege & Comp. GmbH, before joining Roland Berger Strategy Consults, Frankfurt as a core member of its financial team. Dr. Tonko currently serves at the Roland Berger Tokyo Office as a key player in its Financial Group.

Dr. Tonko has compiled extensive experience and expertise in strategy development, business model design, M&A, corporate alliances, post merger integration, organizational governance and cost containment for the insurance and banking industries.
